"That was awesome!"  Alan hears that all the time from kids who have seen his shows, especially if they have high expectations.

These are shows with plenty of audience participation and comedy -- everyone gets a chance to get involved in the action! For example, he performs an illusion using three little red balls, about the size of golf balls. Two members of the audience step up to help him. He hands two of the balls to one of the people and keeps the third ball; his ball disappears and appears with the other two in her hand! For the finale, the other person helps. Alan take one, the spectator takes two and the magician's ball disappears; but, when the spectator opens his hand, he finds that he has a dozen! The balls cascade out of his hand!

He can turn a dollar bill inside-out and hand-out the bill to be examined, leaving no doubt that it is the same bill that they had their eyes glued to, at the start; he then restores it to its original condition.

He has shows that the whole family will love.  He doesn't talk down to the kids or get too hokey for the adults.  Some of the tricks have been described as "spooky", but in a good way, because they seem like real magic.  Alan makes magic cool, again.

A variety of fun things happen throughout the show

Options can be added to the show.  One option is the balancing stunt.  Two folding chairs are set-up and a board is placed across the backs of the chairs. A child from the audience lies on the board. One end of the board is lifted and a chair is removed. Alan lets go of the board and the child remains balanced, off-center, on the remaining chair! A loop of rope is passed over the child to show that nothing is holding him up. The chair is replaced and he steps-down to thundering applause!  Other options can be added, depending on how elaborate you'd like the show to be.

Typical Rates

The most popular small house parties and classroom parties, run $140 to $170.   The most popular shows for larger groups, which may have staging requirements, run $265 to $295.  These are 35 to 40 minute shows.  Show rates are for the Greater Grand Rapids area and other areas may be higher.  Other show options are also available.  Call 616-241-5091 to find out what options are right for your party or event.
